Special conditions: HPL1, £43.02 per direct teaching hour. This includes the following three elements: teaching, preparation and marking of the scheduled programme of work

A rate of £17.21 per hour will be paid for completing one of the above elements of the schedule.

We are seeking to recruit Hourly Paid Lecturers who are available to work during the academic year and will be paid on an hourly basis in the following areas:

  • Architectural History and Theory (Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels)
  • Architectural representation and advanced architectural software skills (e.g. Autocad, Revit, Photoshop, VRay, Sketchup, etc)
  • Architectural Technology

Within the Architecture Subject Group there are a number of opportunities to support teaching and delivery. You will work under the direction of the Head of Architecture, the Principal Lecturer and the programme leaders in delivering high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate students. Duties may include preparation, delivery, and assessment where required. You will be expected to contribute to lectures, run seminars and tutorials.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate ideas of a complex or technical nature to students effectively using a variety of teaching methods, have detailed knowledge of the particular subject area through academic exposure and / or industry experience.

Appointments will be reviewed on an annual basis subject to business requirements.
