We are seeking a senior academic leader to work with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) to enhance our research excellence, increase our national and international profile and ensure that our research has significant impact on societies locally, nationally and internationally. Within the post’s broader remit of research and innovation, the appointee will have specific responsibility for academic leadership of our Doctoral School and for NTU’s strategic research priorities which are focused on our strengths and key societal challenges.
Candidates should have an excellent track record, preferably at a level commensurate with a professorial appointment. You will be an exemplary academic leader with excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate at all levels and will have in depth knowledge of the higher education sector. Experience of building teams across disciplines and levels of seniority with a commitment to creating a diverse scholarly community is essential. Also required is substantial experience of leading at a senior management level.
