In 2018/19 we are once again due to finish in the top 15 of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships with a record points total, leaving us on course to break into the top 10 in the coming years. The women's hockey programme has had their most successful year on record, scoring over 100 BUCS points for the first time and securing 2 promotions.
We are seeking an individual who is able to deliver high quality coaching services to the performance squads within Hockey. You will possess an in-depth understand of coaching styles and practical delivery and the needs of student players.
You will have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and a proven track record of delivering results. Knowledge of the BUCS competition structures would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be conscientious with good communication, influencing and team working skills. The role will be offered on a zero basis, and therefore you will need to be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work across the academic year, including the availability to work evenings and weekends where necessary, and also away from the university, both within the U.K. and abroad.
