This location of this role will be based at our Mansfield site, with a need to be flexible to travel to our other campuses as per business demands.

Background information on the Department of Sport Science
The Department of Sport Science resides within the School of Science and Technology on the Clifton Campus and there are excellent collaborative opportunities with colleagues in Biosciences including the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre, Chemistry and Forensics, Computing and Technology, Engineering and in Mathematics and Physics. Nottingham Trent University has a long and established history for delivering sport-related programmes. Currently the Department comprises 45 academic staff and ~40 PhD research students, as well as large undergraduate and taught postgraduate cohorts. Recent investment into the Department has enhanced our physical resources, research environment and the student learning experience. With four well-equipped physiology laboratories, the British Olympic Association approved environmental chamber, the recently refurbished performance analysis suite and biomechanics and neuromuscular performance laboratories in the £4m Natural Sciences Research Centre, we offer a friendly environment of excellence and invite you to join us.
An exciting opportunity now exists within the School for an outstanding individual to lead new projects that will develop higher education provision in Mansfield. These include foundation and top-up degrees in Sport and Exercise Science.
You will have management responsibilities for designated lecturers/senior lecturers, provide academic leadership and course management. You will be expected to contribute to the School's research outputs, for example through journal publication, conference contributions and research grant capture.
