NTU is a great place to work. We take care of our colleagues with flexible and competitive packages, and the opportunities for genuine professional progress. We respect and value all our staff, because we know that it takes a strong and diverse workforce to maintain the kind of success we’ve achieved.

Our award-winning research is celebrated around the world, and we’re proud of our strategic partnerships. It’s all down to the ability of our people to shape, create and innovate, in whatever capacity they work with us. Our continued success — underpinned by the number of prestigious national awards we’ve won — has hinged on two commitments: creating excellent global collaborations, and harnessing the talents of all our people.

NTU is a university at the peak of its powers, but we know we can still go even further. Join us in our mission to become ‘the university of the future’ — seize the challenge and adventure of working with an organisation where progress never stops. This is your career, reimagined.

The University has an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Officer to join its Governance and Legal Services Department. The Legal Services Team provides an efficient high-quality legal advice service to colleagues at all levels across the University.

The post reports to the Senior Contracts Officer and Legal Adviser and the post-holder will be involved in drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts.

As well as having proven experience in this area, excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task whilst remaining focused and calm under pressure are required. You will be able to work on your own initiative, produce high quality work to tight deadlines to colleagues across the University on a range of often complex and high profile commercial and research related matters and projects. You will be self-motivated with a flexible approach to working on your own and as part of a small team with an ability to work collaboratively. You will be able to deal with a high volume of work with frequently changing priorities and be able to recognise and understand risks ensuring the University’s interests are protected appropriately at all times.
