NTU Events and Conferencing (NTU E&C) manages the commercial conference and event spaces for Nottingham Trent University (NTU) across its three campuses; Nottingham City Campus, Clifton Campus and Brackenhurst Campus. As a leading academic venue, we welcome more than 500 events per year and 10,000+ delegates.

NTU E&C are looking for a Conference Services Assistant to support the events team. This is a full time position, with hours including evening and weekends depending on business needs, there may be some requirement for early morning opening times and a need to be working at Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses. Working alongside our event coordinators and reporting to the Conference Team leader, your primary role will be to ensure customers and internal contacts receive the agreed facilities, equipment, staffing and standards in all conference, syndicate, meeting room or other area booked via the events team. You will set rooms up as dictated on the client function sheets, being expected to move furniture and tidy all areas to the standard and quality set out by the NCC.  You will be able to liaise with clients, holding expert knowledge and detail on each event as well as being able to work pro-actively and initiating best working practises.

The successful candidate will have experience in the Conference & Event market and of working in a customer focussed environment, possessing outstanding customer care skills and being physically fit.

There will be a variable working pattern, which will include evenings, early mornings and weekends and some travel to our other campuses at Clifton and Brackenhurst may be required on occasion.
