The Department of Computer Science resides within the School of Science and Technology on the Clifton Campus, and there are excellent collaborative opportunities with colleagues in other departments and research centres. NTU has a long and established history of delivering computing-related programmes. The department has research strengths in Interactive Systems, Computational Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, and Pervasive Computing, with active research groups breaking new ground in these fields.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with vision and enthusiasm and a proven track record of research in either Cybersecurity OR Data Science related areas. As an Associate Professor, you will lead the growth of research for the Department of Computer Science and you will undertake a substantive programme of research at the highest international standard.

You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, being capable of teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students across our portfolio of courses within the Computer Science department. You will also be an inspiring educator interested in creating engaging learning experiences. You should be able to make a significant contribution to our ambitious plan for delivering innovative, industry-focused education. 

The University is making multi-million pound investments in both buildings and equipment at the Clifton campus, an award-winning “green” campus. The Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (ISTeC) building has state of the art facilities for computer science, including high-performance computing, robotics, mobile computing, and virtual reality, as well as containing isolated network laboratories.
