Could you help NTU meet our ambitious carbon reduction and sustainability targets? As an organisation we have made significant progress in reducing our carbon emissions and demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, but we’re not content with what we’ve already achieved as we know there is much more that we can still do.

Working within the University’s Estates Department the successful candidate will take a lead role in identifying, developing, and delivering carbon reduction, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and will work with our wider Estates teams to ensure that the low carbon golden thread flows through all of the buildings and facilities that we develop, refurbish and operate. The successful candidate will also have overall responsibility for ensuring that the University’s energy and utilities are procured and managed in an efficient and compliant manner and that progress made towards our ambitious targets is accurately measured and reported.

Our ideal candidate will have as minimum a degree in an energy, engineering, or relevant environmental discipline. They will also have relevant energy and carbon management experience within a large organisation, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines whilst ensuring a high level of accuracy at all times. They will also be pro-active and self-motivated individual, with the ability to use their initiative, prioritise their own workload and to work well within a team.
