Senior Cyber Security Analyst


Grade I -  Salary £47,174 - £56,292 per annum

About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled individual to proactively develop, support and strategically manage all operational Cyber Security aspects of the University technology environment.
  • The post holder will be a key position in Digital Technologies in leading on all operation information and Cyber Security activities, to plan, design and stipulate the technology and controls to keep the university safe in our response to ever-changing cyber threats.
  • You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, and will support the Chief Information Security Officer in leading the development of their area of operational cyber security, fulfil project work, investigate security incidents and provide incident response using best practices.
  • Your primary role will be to lead the response to security threats through technology and to always ensure that the University is getting the best protection and value for money, and ensuring the technology is used to its potential.
  • As a senior member of the CISO’s office, the post holder will work closely with the Information Assurance team to ensure all aspects of Information security controls are adequately resilient and compliant.
  • There will also be responsibility for the development and maintenance of operational security policies, controls and procedures related to information systems and technologies, and to provide third line support to local teams and Service Desk.
  • There is an expectation you will work a minimum of 1 day each week in our Nottingham, UK office, this is not a remote only role.
