About Us

The School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences is seeking to appoint a Veterinary Nursing Science Lecturer/Senior Lecturer on a permanent contract, contributing to the design, delivery, and assessment of teaching across both our FdSc Veterinary Nursing and BSc (Hons) Top-Up Courses.

The successful applicant will have excellent veterinary nursing knowledge and practice skills, including radiography & laboratory skills, animal husbandry, and general veterinary nursing skills.

We welcome applications from candidates who have a degree in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Science/Medicine and are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) or veterinary surgeon (home-practising) (MRCVS).

You will play a key role in ensuring an excellent student experience and strong student outcomes across both courses. The post holder will be an effective communicator and a collaborative academic, able to work closely with colleagues across the department in an inclusive and supportive culture.
