Grade E (£26,060 - £27,363 p.a. pro rata)

12 months fixed term (August 2024 - July 2025)

Applicants must have completed a degree course at NTU in June/July 2024 or have completed a degree course at NTU in 22/23.

About the Role


NTU’s Student Money Team is pleased to advertise an exciting opportunity for the role of Student Financial Support Assistant. This role provides frontline customer service to prospective and current students, their families, and other relevant stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the provision of support services for students in higher education and the barriers that students may face to a successful university experience.

  • With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will support new and continuing students access relevant information, advice, and financial support
  • Your excellent organisational skills will ensure that you effectively respond to a wide range of enquires from students (in person, by telephone, by email and via MS Teams).
  • Your ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to anxious and distressed students, from a range of different backgrounds, will allow you to assess initial information and support requirements and respond by action or referral as appropriate to specialist providers
  • Your experience of working effectively as part of a team will help you to contribute to the Student Money Team’s programme of student engagement, events and customer feedback through focus groups, surveys, customer journey mapping, and social media.
