Subject Administrator

£26,712 - £28,047 per annum (pro rata)

This is a part-time, permanent role- 22 hours per week.  Working days to be confirmed.

About the Role

There is now an exciting opportunity to join the administration team as a Subject Administrator, based at our Clifton campus with flexible office and remote home working.   

All School of Science and Technology administration roles are expected to be present on Clifton campus in the School administration office a minimum of two to three days per week (for full time roles, pro-rata for part time roles), with increases of on-campus working during appropriate peak periods.  

Subject Administrators provide subject and student related administrative and clerical support to designated subject area(s) within the School acting as point of focus for academic staff, administrative staff and students associated with these subject areas. 

Working within a busy and growing administration team, you will be involved in all aspects of subject administration including, but not limited to, dealing with student enquiries, maintenance of student records, production and organisation of exam papers, quality assurance and Boards of Examiners.   

The post-holder will be involved in working with students and staff both from within the School and across the University.  There will also be a requirement to interface with colleagues of varying levels of seniority within the University.  Strong customer focus, influencing and negotiating skills are therefore essential. 

An ability to prioritise your workload and to be effective in changing situations is key; you will be able to operate using your own initiative and professional judgement, and will possess the skills to multitask and complete tasks promptly and accurately.  You will be an excellent team player with the proven ability to work well under pressure. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of taking formal business / quality assurance meeting minutes and of using Microsoft Office applications, in particular SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
