Career Development Manager
£38,394 - £43,188 per annum
Full time/ Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a new Career Development Manager to join our innovative and progressive Student Development Team within Employability Services at NTU. This is an exciting time to join the team as we explore new ways of working with academic schools to design innovative and impactful approaches to embedding employability learning.
You will be responsible for:
Consulting with key stakeholders to turn strategic objectives set out in School Employability Partnership Plans into impactful and achievable action plans
Planning a programme of Career Development Learning within your schools, identifying the most impactful and innovative delivery methods, using data and knowledge of best practice to inform decisions
Project managing events and initiatives within academic schools, identifying clear measures of success which enable effective evaluation
Line managing Careers Consultants and Careers Coaches, and you will use our resource planning tools to ensure the team are deployed most effectively to support delivery across all schools
Please note that this is not student facing role, and whilst there will be opportunities to support student activities throughout the year, your primary role is to plan with colleagues across the department and other stakeholders.
About you:
We are looking for organised, innovative and collaborative individuals, who can effectively plan employability activities with multiple stakeholders across different academic schools. Experience of designing or coordinating employability, careers or personal/professional development activities within a HE environment is important.
The role will require you to work closely with Careers Consultants, Careers Coaches and senior Employability Managers within academic schools, so the ability to build effective working relationships and confidently influence and negotiate is a must.
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
