Social Media Manager 

Grade H

£38,394 -  per annum

Maternity Cover 12  months fixed term contract

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, driven and talented social media professional to join our Recruitment, Marketing and Communications (RMC) department. The postholder will lead on the development, planning and implementation of our central and international social media strategy, enhancing NTU’s global reputation and supporting the university’s strategic priorities and objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Content, the postholder will lead the Social Media team and work collaboratively with teams across RMC including the Marketing and Campaigns team, School Marketing teams and International Student Recruitment team, delivering innovative and sector-leading content for NTU’s organic social media channels (UK and international).

With demonstrable creative and project management skills, you will be educated to degree level or have a relevant marketing or social media qualification. You will have a strong track record of managing engaging social media content for a range of audiences and experience delivering multi-channel social media campaigns.  You’ll be a trail-blazer with a keen eye for detail and possess excellent communication and leadership skills along with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.

This position is a fixed term maternity cover role, with employment expected to conclude after 12 months.
